24 Dynamic Aspect of Music-As a Complement to Static Analysis in Music Research II

How do you notate the voice and articulation in singing the Mongolian madrigal, the Tibetan ode, the Dai Nationality's love song, the Yi Nationality's folk song or the Wa Nationality's elegy. Currently prevalent methods of music analysis tend to be static and less useful when it comes to stylistic and performance analysis. Methods of incorporating the dynamic aspects of music into everyday research is proposed for the first time.

34 A Preliminary Study of the Numerical Characteristics of Chinese Folk Songs

The general system structure of a Computer System (CS) for studying Chinese folk songs is formulated. The problem of continuity of melodic progress in a song is systematically tackled. Definitions and algorithms are established. The rate of continuous couples for over 1,000 Chinese folk songs are presented. More to come.
